Introducing Our Licensed Piercing Team in Seattle
Why Seattle Clients Choose Us for Tongue Piercing
For starters, tongue piercings are a favorite for good reason. They’re bold, personal, and customizable with jewelry. Our clients love how quickly the healing process moves once you settle into a solid aftercare routine.
Now, what sets our studio apart is the experience leading up to the piercing itself. We take time to talk through your anatomy, answer your questions, and make sure you’re fully informed before we start. Our goal is for you to leave feeling excited and confident.
We’re happy to welcome both adults and teens into our studio (age requirements can vary by location). If you’re getting pierced as a minor, reach out to your local studio ahead of time to learn who’s available to perform the piercing and what’s required from a parent or guardian.
A traditional tongue piercing is placed in the center of the tongue. Please note that we do not offer horizontal tongue piercings at this time. Because this placement is anatomy-specific, it isn’t the right fit for everyone, and our piercers will let you know if that’s the case for you.
We always recommend coming in with a backup piercing in mind, just in case your anatomy calls for a different approach.

It’s a general piercing guideline that some artists use to space out multiple piercings for better healing and a more balanced look. This rule applies more to multi-piercing placements, such as ears, than to a single tongue piercing.
Certain factors like pregnancy, being under the influence, active oral infections, or anatomy that isn’t suited for a center placement may mean a tongue piercing isn’t the right fit at that time.
You may notice some temporary swelling and adjust how you talk or eat for the first few days, but this typically resolves quickly as healing progresses. We’ll make sure to give you some tips and tricks to navigate the healing process so your speech and eating can return to normal.
